Autism-Friendly Film Club Relaunch Party!
I’m delighted to announce that thanks to a £1000 donation from the Surrey Mirror’s Heart of the Community Awards, we’re re-opening our Autism Friendly Film Club at Cineworld, Crawley on Sunday 3rd January!
In honour of the film being shown (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) we’ll be holding a special Star Wars event, with lots of our great characters coming along.
Jedi, Stormtroopers, good guys and bad (including the fearsome Darth Vader and Kylo Ren) will be available to pose for photos with you on your cameras or phones in exchange for a donation in our buckets.
There will also be stalls selling a variety of small gifts and toys, plus our ever-popular ‘Win a Prize Every Time’ soft toy tombola where you’re guaranteed to take home a beautiful cuddly toy for just £1.00.
All money raised will go straight back into running the film club and providing more free tickets to local families in the future.
We’re also giving away 20 FREE TICKETS to see the performance! You can apply for yours here: http://www.autism-all-stars.org/januarys-film-club/
Some scenes in the film are pretty frightening for younger or more vulnerable children, so if you don’t think it would be suitable for your family, you’re still very welcome to come and join us from 10am – 2pm for lots of Star Wars-related fun in an environment where autism is always accepted and understood.
