We Ran a Mile for Autism Awareness!
I’m delighted to report that the weather was very kind to us for our family fun run/walk/stagger round Reigate’s Priory Park. The sun shone until the second we’d finished taking our photos, when the sky darkened and it absolutely poured with rain, at which point we were very grateful for the gazebo! We had 30 runners in total, who were a mixture of familiar faces and plenty of new ones. We even had a last minute entry from a wonderful little boy on the autism spectrum whose family just happened to be passing by.
Everyone was full of enthusiasm and there were lots of smiles and hugs as always at our events.
We raised a very impressive £447.88 thanks to takings on the day and lots of online sponsorship through our Virgin Money Giving page. We’ll definitely be doing this kind of thing again, so if you’re interested in joining us, drop me an e-mail and I’ll add you to our list of future fun runners!
